Ampsey Nafra (Nafura in anime) is a Rank 3 student attending Babyls Demon School as a first-year. Referred to as a boy by the student body, Nafra is actually a girl who hides her true height and appearance with a special cloak. She is also a member of the Student Council.
Appearance[]
Nafra is a demon who is always seen with her gray robe with a hood. She has rounded eyes, and (although popularly nicknamed Mouthless Nafra) she has a wide mouth that is usually curved. She shrouds the edge of her face with the hood of her cloak, so that only her eyes and mouth can be seen. Underneath the cloak, she wears a typical student council uniform with its complete set. The cloak gives her the ability to change her height and she often presents herself as short when wearing it.
Her actual appearance has curly shoulder-length hair with a flower hair decoration and facial features similar to Iruma.[2]
Personality[]
As much of her mysterious appearance is under her clothing, Nafra doesn't talk much and uses gestures and facial and bodily expressions to visually convey what she's trying to say. Many people are confused about her being a scary demon, which makes it a further receptacle because she gives smell to others.
Story Overview[]
Harvest Festival Arc[]
She was saved by Iruma from being tangled in vines on his way to obtain the seed of beginning. Unbeknownst to everyone, she was a secret character during the festival. Her role was an essential condition in order to make the legendary leaf bloom. As part of the quest, she assisted Iruma in acting out stories from "First Love Memories" for Thoth the Genie. She also helped Iruma escape from the chasm.[3]
Music Festival[]
Nafra accompanied Ronove to the first years' classrooms to review their performance, and give insights for the upcoming music festival (much to her dismay due to Ronove's flamboyant behavior).[4]
Abilities & Equipment[]
Strong Foul Odor: Nafra is known for her ability to present a putrid-smelling odor that nauseates her body. Anyone would be able to recognize the smell, even meters away. If someone is close enough, they will faint easily. However, this has helped her repel any demon beasts, as they could not even handle such a scent.
Size Altering Cloak: Nafra's iconic cloak alters her actual size from tall to short demon girl. It only reveals her true self when it is entirely off, as she remains short even when revealing she's a student council member.
Relationships[]
Iruma Suzuki[]
Nafra had taken a huge liking to Iruma. As the person who did not hesitate to save her when she got stuck during the Harvest Festival, Nafra befriended him despite her ability to smell bad. Iruma didn't even try to say something negative about it but instead even thanked her for that odor helped them repulse demon beasts from the festival.[5] Despite the brief and unlikely encounter and the fact that Iruma would mainly get the treasure, both coordinately worked together as they tried to get the seed from Thoth, which, in an eccentric way of doing it, they did successfully[6] and consider each other friends.
One time when she decided to walk around with her hood down, Iruma recognized her (mainly because of the smell), which caused her to blush nervously and put her hood back on again.
Azazel Ameri[]
Nafra is one of the new members of the Student Council. She is loyal to Ameri and does whatever she asks, such as the search for the legendary leaf, assisting Ronove Lomiere during the Musical Festival, and joining the girls' meeting when Crocell Kerori couldn't attend.

Ix Elizabetta[]
Nafra and Elizabetta had their first interaction during the girls' meeting, together with Ameri and Clara. She is why Nafra has begun being fashion-conscious and even tried walking the school hallways without her special cloak (revealing her human form).
