Magical Tools Research Division (魔具研究
Summary[]
Amy Kirio is lying down, being tended to by Iruma after his failed experiment. Curious, Amy tours Iruma around his battler, the Magical Tools Division. Amy explains to Iruma that this battler researches and creates their own Apparatus (magical tools) fused with magic. Kirio shows some examples, such as his Glowing Orb and Moveable Dolls. Concentrating his magical energy on each object, they react just as is. However, he reaches his limit and starts coughing up blood. But before stopping, he shows Iruma his experiment, "The Reinforcement Tool for Magical Power or Gabu-Ko."
As the name would suggest, this tool enhances the demon's magical power. Even if they don't have that strong magical power, it'll still boost the energy. Unfortunately, the device is difficult because Kirio has trouble fixing the heart-shaped power source. Iruma looks at the pieces and offers to repair the power source. Kirio allows it by stating that it's still tricky but is shocked to see Iruma putting it together easily. He overexcites himself and asks Iruma if he's done this before he coughs up blood again.
Iruma explains that he had to learn how to put electronic appliances together during his childhood, and it was pretty hard. Kirio directs Iruma's attention toward the Gabu-Ko and places the Glowing Orb on the device. And with just a little magic from him, the orb illuminates the entire room, amazing Iruma. Kirio says that demons with weak magic have the most difficulty surviving in the Demon World, where magic means everything. Like the ranking system, the highest demon discriminates against the lowest despite their age. But someday, he wishes he could create magical tools to help the weakest demons so they can be treated fairly like the strongest.
Kirio compliments Iruma that he can join any battler with his magical power. Feeling amazed by Kirio's ambition, he asks him hypothetically if he didn't have magical power could he join his division. Kirio offers Iruma to join; with his creativity, they can do various magical tools. Iruma returns to his friends and tells them he found the battler he wants to join. The next day, Kirio fails another experiment and is surprised to see Iruma returning. And more amazed to see him followed by Alice and Clara, who join his battler to be with Iruma. Feeling overwhelmed by three new members, Kirio passes out, and thus this concludes the Battler Challenge.
Upset, Ameri laments that Iruma didn't come over to join the student council and contemplates why she's the president and he felt threatened. Iruma calls Ameri to apologize for not coming to the council room. Feeling angry, Ameri calmed down and said it was alright just before Iruma said he had joined another division. Ameri changed her tone and preached at Iruma for two hours.
