The Fledgling Demons Assemble (集う若魔 Tsudō Jakuma?) is the two hundred-and-twenty-third chapter of Osamu Nishi's Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun.
Summary[]
As Iruma leaves home to go to school, Iruma thinks about all the things that had happened beforehand, such as Kalego becoming his familiar again, his bizarre stat sheet, or Shiida telling him not to say anything about their meeting. Still, he could feel things were starting to change. Suddenly Alice and Clara greet him like they always do. Iruma smiles at this, and when Clara asks about it, Iruma says that he is happy that some things remain the same. After that, the three walk together to school.
When they arrive, they see a lot of students running toward a billboard. Upon a closer look, they learn that it contains all of the first-year's ranks, as they had already completed the flying race. Iruma notices a set of names that have been framed, and as he questions why, he gets his answer from one of the first-years, Zepar Zeze. Zeze declares that the framed names are the top 26 first-years, including himself. He then starts flirting with Clara, prompting Iruma and Alice to take her away from him. Suddenly, several other girls run towards him and start praising him, that he placed second in the entrance exam, placed first in the Demon World's next top beauty contest, and appeared on tons of magazine covers, even being called the hottest demon of the year.
Zeze enjoys the praise he receives from his admirers and calls himself too extraordinary to ignore, though Alice says the real reason is that he is wearing all red. Zeze ignores his comment and starts talking about his nickname, "Zenith of Zeniths," which he says is an idiom meaning omniscient and omnipresent, and because of this, women can't seem to resist him. However, he is instantly pushed to the side by Chima, who immediately runs to meet Iruma.
Chima greets Iruma, as does Silvia, who came with her. Silvia starts to play with Clara while Chima tells Iruma that she placed first in the flying race and achieved Rank 3. Silvia adds that Chima looked magnificent while flying, though Chima adds that Silvia did well too. Just as Zeze gets back up to speak to Chima, she instantly freezes him again and informs Iruma that she is one of the chosen 26, so she wants him to take care of her. Before Iruma can inquire what she meant by that, Zeze walks over to her to speak to her finally, though he tries to play it cool like she wasn't trying to upstage him. Still, she has no clue who he even is. They all began to talk about "the next weekend," which left Iruma even more confused.
In Royal One, Kalego informs the Abnormal Class that there will be a rank promotion exam next weekend. He states that it would have come later for most second years, but since the entire Abnormal Class is a unique case, the teachers devised an entirely new test for everyone since they are Rank 4 and up. Kalego names the test "The Heartbreaker," and the students will be up against their teachers while trying to protect their treasure, which is the 26 Demon Fledglings.
