The Battler Debut (
Summary[]
Lord Sullivan calls Opera that he won’t be able to make it back. He’s being interrogated by the Demon Border Patrol for suspicion of illegal traveling to the human world. Though Opera isn’t worried, Sullivan finds it rather strange that he’s being questioned for something he “did not” do. He changes the subject worrying about his grandson being concerned with his absence. Opera reassures him that Iruma is fine and currently playing his video games. Furious and jealous, Sullivan vows he will be there at the Batora Party (Battler Party). He gives Opera instructions on taking care of his grandson and ends the call before going back to Iruma not to worry about his grandfather.
Back in the Misfits Class room, all the misfits are fidgeting over the upcoming event. Anxious about their families coming over, the misfits discuss who’ll be coming. Kalego breaks up their topic and tells them to not embarrass themselves in front of their parents. In the Magical Apparatus Battler, Iruma asks Alice if his family are coming and Alice says he will prevent his mother from appearing. Iruma asks Kirio if his parents are coming to the party, but he explains they won’t and his senior will instead. He’s almost like a guardian to him who gives advice, just then Kirios senpai calls and yells at him about the battler party. After that the group help Kirio take his divisions supplies to set up outside.
Outside, all of the Battlers are setting up in the preparation grounds. Iruma and his division carry their supplies while witnessing all the amazing things the battler party will deliver. The Magical Beasts have a circus, New Magic Development are doing sketchy alchemy and the Succubus Battler are drawing in crowds. Kirio adds that adds the division that does well will be given big rewards and possibly rank up as well. His battler is getting excited as well, but then they see where their spot is and Kirio glooms over it being smaller.
But despite being upset, Kirio stays positive even after being bullied by other classmates and scolded by his first years for setting up his battler like a dumping ground. Kirio let’s Iruma and his friends share their ideas on how they can stand this year. Iruma wants to show Kirios Gabu Ko and the ball of light for how beautiful and bright they were. Alice offers to display his fire magic to wow the audience. And Clara wants something showy and goes boom. Hearing all of the pitches, Iruma concludes that they should create fireworks. Though the others don’t know what fireworks are, and the short description of them being explosions fired into the sky doesn’t help. He the goes into details that they’re for entertainment and amusing lights in the sky. Which can work since the party will go on to the night and that’ll be the best time to set off the fireworks. And they won’t have to worry about space since the sky has the largest room to perform their battler presentation. Praising Iruma for his idea, Alice brings up they may not have the time for the production and may have to work during the night. Kirio then offers they should sign up for an overnight stay at their battler to work on it.
