An Ode to Life in Bloom (人生讃花 Jinsei Sanka?) is the two hundred-and-fortieth chapter of Osamu Nishi's Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun.
Summary[]
In a flashback, Iruma asked Alice to show him his fire magic, which Iruma found incredible and even more dazzling than before, thanks to Balam Shichiro's training. Iruma then asks Alice if the fire is his Bloodline Magic, to which, after hesitating, Alice admits it isn't. He starts to tell Iruma what it is, but when he sees how much he's struggling to say it, Iruma stops him and tells him that he doesn't need to tell him. Alice tries to insist, but Iruma refuses, remembering Asmodeus Amaryillis's previous words about how friends don't always have to share everything. Iruma tells Alice he also has a secret of his own, and maybe Clara does too, but he still wants everyone to be friends. And, if Alice decides to talk about it one day, he will happily hear it.
Alice gladly accepts Iruma's offer, and the latter tells him that he finds his fire magic incredible; though he knows it can help cook food and light up dark places, he finds Alice's fire to be beautiful, strong, and warm. He then hugs the fire without feeling pain, saying that Alice always lowers the temperature around him and Clara, even though he feels it must be very tough. As such, Iruma confesses that he loves Alice's flames because they are made up of his feelings and hard work. Iruma's words cause Alice to become overwhelmed with gratitude; therefore, he wishes to continue to utilize the flames, the one he admires so much adores.
In the present, Eito accepts that Alice won't heed his advice and sends his fire to attack, but to his complete shock, Alice manages to repel it with his flames, as they have now changed their colour to blue. Alice tells Eito that he was hoping to save this level of fire magic for when he fought Kalego, but now he has no choice but to use it on him. In retorting to Eito's earlier claim about if Alice has ever opposed someone more skilled with fire magic than him, Alice asks Eito if he's ever fought someone who uses a fire he's never seen before.
