Blue and Purple (青と紫 Ao to Murasaki?) is the two hundred-and-forty-first chapter of Osamu Nishi's Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun.
Summary[]
In a flashback, a young Sullivan finally finished what Derkila had requested of him. He asks his assistant not to tell Derkila yet since the item is still a prototype, but Derkila appears behind him, asking him to show it to him. Sullivan refuses because he hasn't finished safety testing it and adds that growing a field of flowers over a river of magma is a very crazy idea, so they should proceed with caution from here on. Unfortunately, Derkila ignores his warning and takes the item from him, opening it from its glass container and revealing it as a flower-shaped fire.
In the present, Asmodeus Alice starts trading blows with Ifrit Djinn Eito as the latter realizes that Alice's blue flames are drawing in Ifrit. He grabs the spirit and slams it to the ground, telling it to stay put, which it does. Alice tells Eito that his discipline is scaring the creature, while Eito retorts that Alice's fire needs some discipline. He admits his amazement that he created a fire that lures in and absorbs other fire and asks what his technique is. Alice dubs it "Amaryllis," but all he can say is that he created it after doing some research with Balam Shichiro with some old documents; the rest is a trade secret.
Though annoyed, Eito says he will figure out the nature of his technique by himself as he sprouts wings of purple fire to take to the air. He then creates a massive ball of purple fire and asks Alice how much fire can his new technique absorb. He throws the ball of fire at him, but Alice responds by creating a field of blue flower-shaped fire, which not only starts devouring the purple fire but Eito himself. Alice then gets the drop on him and strikes him in the chest with a move he calls "Hell's Inferno" before slamming him into the ground.
Though exhausted, Alice believes he's won, but Eito emerges from the rubble, revealing he coated himself in fire-like skin to reduce the damage. Eito, in frustration, demands to know how Alice is only Rank 4 as he feels his skills are beyond that level. He also says that while he respects Naberius Kalego, his evaluation of him at the very beginning is too low. Because of that, Eito tells Alice that he will back him up when he goes to fight Kalego. Alice accepts this as the two prepare for round two.
Meanwhile, Morax Momonoki has managed to overwhelm Caim Kamui in Sullivan's office.
