The Misfits' Choice (
Summary[]
After escaping Shiida, Iruma, Crocell Chima, and Vine Garson retreat to the First Years' Tower's backyard. They managed to dry off the antidote. Garson slathered them in from their clothes as Iruma noticed that Chima had trapped Garson behind her ice (the reason being that she was upset he was princess-carried by Iruma earlier). However, Garson tells Iruma he's okay since he thinks it will keep him from being sucked into his "harem."
Iruma shifts topics to what they should do regarding Operation S.O.S. since adding the principal into the mix will make things even harder. Garson (who finally leaves the ice) advises against going to the principal's office after they have just escaped a teacher. Chima, however, immediately tells Iruma that she will follow him wherever but admits it would be tricky since their fight with Shiida was exhaustive, they have yet to meet with any other teams, and they only have one balloon left, so she thinks their team is the closest to dropping out. Iruma realizes that Chima is right and starts seriously thinking about their next course of action, and after a while, he tells the two what their next plan is.
As for the teams already in the office, Momonoki tells Kamui that the summoning seals have worn off, which means all of the first years' familiars have vanished, leaving him without an army now. She also adds that he is reaching his limit, and while the whole thing took her almost three minutes, which was longer than she expected, she states that they've lost now. Pheené Marianne starts panicking because the gauge isn't half full yet and starts wishing that another ally will appear to save them.
As if in response to her wish, Kamui gets back up and grabs Momonoki from behind, which she immediately notices, and flings him off of her. As he struggles to stand up straight, he tells her he won't let her touch them, causing Momonoki to tell him that girls hate guys who don't know when to quit. She zaps him with "Bolt Strike," but he still forces himself to stand. She demands he get out of her way as she continues to assault him with magic as the juniors watch, but Kamui still stands while Momonoki starts panting. Kamui then declares that he will never let her pass, a statement that leaves Marianne in awe. She starts wondering why he keeps forcing himself to keep standing despite his injuries.
