Lurking Archer (望む弓使い Nozomu Yumitsukai?) is the two hundred-and-forty-eigth chapter of Osamu Nishi's Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun.
Summary[]
According to Barbatos Bachiko, the Barbatos Clan is always associated with the word "despair." The reason is their skills as archers because no matter who they face off against, their arrows will always hit their targets no matter how hard they try to flee. The best part is that it happens when least expected, and the sudden surge of pleasure generated when an archer has a target and drives it into despair without mercy is the absolute best. She then tells Robin that while she considers it a shame he's from the branch clan, she is also relieved. Then he can't steal her nickname because there isn't a demon more suited to being an archer than him. After all, he enjoys the possible despair of turning the tides in his favor at the last minute.
Thirty seconds remain, and while Robin acknowledges that the rate the students are filling up the device would shut it down in time, he also says that his interference will change everything. Before using his Bloodline Magic, he senses his cousin's presence from afar, focusing on him. It turns out to be Iruma, who fires his arrow at Robin and blows him out of the tree, breaking his focus. Robin has left in awe that one single archer was able to turn the tides in the student's favor because, thanks to him, the students were able to finish filling up the device with magic, thereby completing Operation S.O.S. and keeping Sullivan from emerging.
