Ladies & Gentlemen (レディース&ジェントルマン Redīsu & Jentoruman?) is the two hundred-and-ninetieth chapter of Osamu Nishi's Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun.
Summary[]
Iruma recites the rules he would follow in the Deviculum, such as always staying together and what to do in an emergency, to Opera. After seeing that he is ready, she gives him the mask to wear. On wearing the mask, Iruma, Alice, and Alice's mother, Amaryllis, get ready to go to the Deviculum. Suddenly, a bat-like creature appears and demands their invitations. On handing out the invitations, the bat eats and confirms it. After that, it creates a large portal-like door to the event. Opera tells Iruma to be careful, to which Iruma agrees and walks through the portal.
On walking through the portal, Iruma's group gets teleported to a huge and magnificent place called the Lost Lounge. Amaryllis explains that this place is a secret location, only known to the Thirteen Crowns. After entering the lounge, Iruma notices that there are so many guests. Amaryllis tells him the real guests are fewer than half of the people he sees. Iruma gets puzzled by this comment. Suddenly a person bumps into him. Iruma starts to apologize to him, but the other guest swiftly bows and walks away. Iruma is amazed by his agility and thinks he must be a high-rank demon, but Amaryllis explains that it is an automated magic puppet tool. It is used to make it harder to figure out who the real guests are, and it also livens up the party. Most of the staff are also puppet tools, which makes Iruma think it would be a good opportunity to learn more about magical tools.
As they reach the entrance to the main hall, Amaryllis asks Iruma if he isn't escorting someone. Someone taps his shoulder as Iruma replies yes and says they were supposed to meet here. He turns to see Ameri has arrived. She is thankful that she found him. Iruma starts to call her "Ameri-san" but is interrupted by Ameri, who tells him to call her "Milady" here. Ameri and Amaryllis greet each other. Ameri says she is surprised to see Iruma with Amaryllis, one of the 13 crowns. Iruma replies that it took lots of convincing. Ameri says she is happy to be here with him, and Iruma replies that he is too. She asks him if he knows how to escort her, and he replies that he has learned proper etiquette for this event.
Iruma escorts Ameri through the door to a magnificent hall. After entering the hall, they get excited over how amazing things look. The other guests look at them and think that they look cute. Suddenly, the guests begin to bustle, and Iruma and Ameri turn to look at Alice and Amaryllis. While Alice escorts Amaryllis, the guests murmur about how beautiful they look. Amaryllis says this dress was inspired by her original knight dress and matches her son's dress. She then tells Alice that she wants to brag more about her dress and pulls Alice. Ameri says that at least they are having fun.
Ameri tells Iruma that the pressure of the party is so high that it is almost hard to breathe. The people gathered at the party are not just any high-ranked demons but the crème de la crème of all. Especially the party's guests of honor, the candidates for the new Thirteen Crowns. These candidates include the Gamesman "Mephisto," the Dithering King "Zebubra," and the Undead Archer "Barbatos." Bachiko looks at Iruma, who is thinking aloud and sparkling very much. Bachiko runs towards Iruma and scolds how loud he is without speaking, and tells him to remove the sparkles. But she is still glad that he made it to the party.
Bachiko tells Iruma to be patient since she can't leave the table until everyone reaches the party. As Iruma questions whom she is talking about, Bachiko explains she means the candidates of the new Thirteen Crowns. They are still waiting for the one last demon. Bachiko begins to say that she thinks the remaining candidate is related to Naberius but is suddenly cut off by the guest's talking. Bachiko comments, "Speak of the Devil, and he shall appear." and further says that he has come with his escort too. It is then shown that Baal, the Thunder Lord, has entered the party as an escort for Naberius Narnia, Kalego's brother and the remaining candidate of the Thirteen Crowns.
