"President. I understand your anger. But I cannot leave. Because I'm the same! I'm just as upset with the 13 Crowns as you are!" ― Iruma Suzuki
An Archer's Wrath (弓使いの怒り Yumi Tsukai no Ikari?) is the three hundred-and-eleventh chapter of Osamu Nishi's Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun.
Summary[]
Robin and Iruma arrive in the Barbatos Family's territorial lands, which encompasses an entire forest, as Robin reminds Iruma to NOT take off his feather cap, or else he'll be marked an enemy and shot down. Iruma asks Robin why he brought him here, and Robin says it is to cheer up Bachiko, who has been feeling down since the Deviculum. Robin was extremely confident that the Barbatos President would warmly welcome them.
Unfortunately, the President's welcome was anything but "warm" (which Robin apologizes to Iruma for). The President tells Iruma that Bachiko doesn't want to see anyone right now, prompting him to ask why. The President explains that the Thirteen Crowns presented her with a seat at the table only to take it away because they felt she was too inexperienced. Then, they proposed she take the seat of Derkila, which has its own problems.
The fury the President feels is that people all over the Demon World either want her to sit on the throne or not, and because of that, the President feels that any form of advice or encouragement will only pile on the pressure, so he will not let anyone hurt her because of that; whether it's a relative, her own pupil, or even the Demon King himself.
Immediately, Robin suggests that he and Iruma leave, but Iruma tells the President that he can't leave because, like him, he's just as angry with the Thirteen Crowns. He can't accept that Bachiko wasn't allowed to join because he considers her someone who, while rather selfish and overly strict, never disappoints anyone who follows her; in his mind, she is his talented, hardworking, passionate, and kind master, and he hates that the Thirteen Crowns can't see it.
Iruma declares that he will also fight anyone who speaks ill of Bachiko and will continue to be her disciple, viewing it as the best way he can repay her for everything she's done for him up to this point. Unbeknownst to the three, Bachiko was eavesdropping and was brought to tears by Iruma's words.
