Preparation, Thy Name is Resolve (覚悟という心構え Kakugo to Iu Kokorogamae?) is the three hundred-and-thirteenth chapter of Osamu Nishi's Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun.
Summary[]
At Babel Tower, the Thirteen Crowns debate how to best handle the situation with the Barbatos Family. Belial suggests they apologize to the Barbatos President for the insults to Bachiko, but Levi says it is too dangerous considering the President's fury. Paimon steps forward and offers to go, thinking she will be the best choice to reach Bachiko. Before the conversation could continue, though, the President appears riding Robin's large bird, to the shock of everyone.
A nervous Belial asks why he came in person, and the President simply says he was dropping Iruma off, which surprises Sullivan. The President explains that Iruma came to his house, and through him, both he and Bachiko made up their minds, to which he announced that he was stepping down as President and making Bachiko the family chief, and if Bachiko is nominated for the position among the thirteen, he will humbly accept that responsibility.
Everyone is left speechless by the President's declaration, and Belial asks if he is seriously okay with this, but the President remains firm in his and Bachiko's choice. Henri, meanwhile, is left in complete confusion that Iruma, of all people, was able to extinguish the spark of war that could have destroyed the Demon World. The President asks Sullivan and the other two of the Three Greats what their decision will be, and Belial says they will issue a formal apology to the family, while Levi tells Sullivan that he should see Iruma off.
Taking Iruma out of the room, Sullivan tells Iruma he never expected to go to the Barbatos Family household and has contacted Opera to come and bring Iruma home. Just as Sullivan starts walking away, Iruma asks Sullivan if it is possible to make it the "Fourteen" Crowns instead; that way, Derkila's seat could remain untouched because there would be one more seat. Sullivan laughs at Iruma's suggestion and then admits he may be overthinking things. He thanks Iruma and says that he is fine now.
At a later time, the new Thirteen Crowns would be announced.
