Parental Love and a Flower Field (親心と花畑 Oyagokoro to Hanabatake?) is the three hundred-and-twenty-sixth chapter of Osamu Nishi's Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun.
Summary[]
Henri watches as Ameri gets ready for school but is perplexed by her good mood, thinking she has been feeling lonely since they have not eaten together in some time. He thinks it is because of Iruma, suspecting the two did something during the Deviculum when he wasn't watching because of his duties (though it is because Ameri is actually looking forward to her next girl's meeting).
To get to the bottom of this, Henri goes to Babyls wearing high-quality detection-warding glasses so he won't be discovered. He tells himself he is investigating Iruma because Henri doubts him, but he finds Ameri first. Henri watches from afar and gushes over how outstanding Ameri is as she conducts her student council duties. Iruma then comes in and he and Ameri greet each other, and Henri immediately hides himself to avoid being spotted by the two.
As the two converse, Henri fumes at the thought that Iruma is leading Ameri off the path of glamorousness and even threatens to lock him away if he ever touches her. He tells himself that Iruma isn't fit to be Ameri's boyfriend due to their positions. But he thinks more about him and takes into consideration that he is Sullivan's grandson, Rank 5, one of the candidates for the next Demon King, close with the Asmodeus family, has a master in the form of Bachiko, and most recently, he prevented an all-out war between the Thirteen Crowns and the Three Greats.
When he puts it like that, Henri realizes there is nothing about Iruma he can object to and laments he doesn't have a single flaw. That is until Henri remembers there is a slim possibility that Iruma is human, which would make all his achievements meaningless. Henri then declares that if Iruma truly is human, regardless of his reputation, he will not allow him to be involved with Ameri. However, looking at Ameri's smiling face causes him to flashback to a woman, and he finally notices how happy she seems when she is around him.
As for Iruma and Ameri, they discuss their next reading, but Henri removes his glasses and shows himself the two, which shocks them. The two head for the Student Council Lounge and Ameri asks her father what he is doing here, and Henri says he has a question for Iruma: how does he feel about Ameri?
