Releasing Magic (魔力の解放 Maryoku no Kaihō?, or Magic Unleashed in the official English volume) is the thirty-fourth chapter of Osamu Nishi's Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun.
Summary[]
Shocked and confused by Iruma's refusal to fall into despair and his determination to smash Kirio's ambitions, Kirio tries to correct Iruma that the fireworks will go off the minute the bell rings, destroying Babyls and its inhabitants. Even though he explains removing it from the Gabu won't stop it, nor can Iruma breach his barrier, Iruma still refuses to despair. He hates it when people get hurt and hates it more than the fireworks their battler made would be the cause of it. Not giving up, Iruma proclaims he will save everyone and show them the fireworks he promised everyone.
Just then, a flash of light shines and the Broadcast Battler announces that it's 30 seconds left to the Main Festival. When Kirio is distracted, Iruma dashes forward, alerting his senpai to move as he rushes to the window. Setting his ring to "Ifrit" mode, Iruma casts "Libera" and throws the firework upward. Following the ball, a dragon carries the ball with great force but is stopped by Kirio's barrier, barely making a crack. Kirio explains to Iruma why he's an idiot, thinking he can destroy a barrier designed to withstand an explosion to level Babyls. With ten seconds left, he gloats at Iruma's attempts and his excitement to see everyone's faces of despair at that last moment. He takes it further by bringing up that the only person who can destroy his barrier would be Lord Sullivan. Hearing this, Iruma smiles, remembering his grandfather's warning about chanting the one spell that'll unleash all of the ring's magic, which so happens to hold Sullivan's mana. Apologizing for breaking his promise, Iruma casts his most powerful spell.
"PANDOLURA!!!"
Then, his ring switches to the demonic eye, manifesting black wings on Iruma's back, and a swirling black force engulfs his spell, enhancing and making the dragon bigger and more demonic. As the countdown reaches the last 3, the dragon destroys Kirio's barrier and flies upward, shocking him at Iruma's ambition. And at the last second, the firework explodes illuminating the entirety of Babyls with the bell ringing. All the students and teachers are amazed by the fire flowers in the sky, confused and in awe even when Ameri gets to see it. Kirio, however, is the only one in his own despair. Whining and complaining at his year-long plan gone to waste, he took his anger out by criticizing Iruma's rash decision without regard for his safety. He finally admits defeat to Iruma being more ambitious than he is and that they're truly not the same.
