Coming Full Circle (一周まわって Isshū Mawatte?) is the three hundred-and-eightieth chapter of Osamu Nishi's Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun.
Summary[]
Shiida gave back the Abnormal Class students' quiz from last week that she graded, where she reported the class average was high this time. Once Clara goes to receive hers, she sees she only scored 5/60, to her horror. To save face, she quickly folds her quiz into a paper airplane to play around with. While playing with it, she overhears Jazz and Lied talking about the latter's impressive score, which Lied attributes to how hard he has been studying for the upcoming End-of-Terminus exams. The clincher was Lied, pointing out how getting the worst grades would demote your rank. Now that they are all Rank 4, they need to keep it up so they don't look stupid in front of others.
Clara gets closer to the conversation and learns that Iruma got a regular good score, and Iruma admits he has been studying by himself a little more since last year. Lied thinks everyone is safe from failing and needing to take make-up classes as Clara looks at her quiz sheet again, the realization starting to sink in that she isn't as smart as everyone in the class. Clara does hope to share this burden with Elizabetta, but to her displeasure, Elizabetta also gets a good score after asking Ameri for help now and then in exchange for giving her girl advice. When Iruma calls out to Clara, asking how she did, she shoves her quiz in her mouth, to Iruma and Alice's concern.
In the Library, Clara tells both of them her bad score, though Alice says it shouldn't be anything new to her, but Clara explains that if she is the dumbest person in the class, then she will be the only one taking make-up classes and wouldn't be able to spend the break with Iruma like she wanted. Seeing her plight, Iruma and Alice offer to study with her, saying that Nova would laugh at her if he saw her like this. Remembering his determination, Clara promises to study hard.
As the days pass, Clara tries her best but still struggles. As the three of them take a break, Iruma asks Clara where she would like to go during the break, and she lists a few damp places that Iruma says they will go to. Alice asks Iruma if that is a good idea, and Iruma says that until now, Clara has had to hold back a lot for the both of them, so he wants to make it up to her by doing everything she wants during the break. Clara is thrilled to hear this and becomes even more motivated to study.
As Iruma and Alice leave to get some drinks, Clara decides to rummage through Alice's coat he left behind looking for some candy she thinks he has on his person. What she finds, however, is the container of evil cycle pills Shichiro gave him and Sabro. Mistaking it for candy, Clara pops one into her mouth just as Alice returns. He runs up to her when he sees her writhing, but when Clara turns around, she has a mischievous look on her face as she reaches for Alice's face, having fully succumbed to her evil cycle.
