Demon Border Patrol

The Demon Border Patrol or Demon Border Control (in the anime), abbreviated as the Border Patrol or the D.B.C.,^[2] is a police force of the Netherworld that hunts down criminal demons and intruders from other worlds, like humans. They are in charge of maintaining order in demon society, which could sometimes mean defending the interests of high-ranking demons against the ones of the lower classes.^[3] But the organization doesn't lack political power being well represented at the table of the Thirteen Crowns.

Locations[]

The Border Patrol Station: when the Border Patrol detained Lord Sullivan for questioning regarding an illegal intrusion into the human world, they took him to a heavily fortified station located on a flying island. However Lord Sullivan broke out rather easily when he needed it to.

An Organization with Two Heads[]

Two leaders of the demon Border Patrol have very different ideas on how to accomplish their duty at the moment. Azazel Henri believes in a softer touch, sending human intruders back to their world after whipping out their memories. However Naberius Narnia has desires led by far more xenophobic views, notably to eliminate any intruder found in the Netherworld, as he believes humans, deities, and magical beasts shouldn't have any influence on demons' affairs.^[4] When only Henri was one of the Thirteen Crowns members at the Border Patrol, he could more easily influence the organization to match his way of doing things. But when Narnia became one as well, the partnership between the two evolved from a relationship between an experienced mentor and his mentee to a rivalry separated by their two visions on what role the organization should have in the Netherworld.

The Troops[]

The Border Patrol has two major platoons: the Fang Platoon, led by Colonel Amy, and the Claw Platoon, led by Colonel Kimaris. The troops are armed with different weapons most suited to the fighting style of each individual.^[5] It is also the case for the elite security force, who are agents Azazel Henry brought in when he entertained Lord Sullivan at the station, all wearing black suits like their superior,^[6] unlike the platoon members in uniforms.
