A deviculum (デビキュラム Debikyuramu^?) is a ball for high-ranking demons and the nobility of the Netherworld. It's an event where demons socialize and can make or develop relations that would help realize their ambitions in the Netherworld. It is important to respect the etiquette at a deviculum. For instance, according to Opera, it is preferable to invite a lady to dance to greet her. Some demons like Asmodeus Alice even value the knowledge of manners above any gap between demon ranks in such circumstances. But the dances are also perfect for conducting secret talks between the dancers.

Story Overview

End of Final Days Arc

Alice and Ameri met at a deviculum where their parents brought them, and Alice accepted the invitation to dance with a shy young woman.

Post-Music Festival Arc

After Ameri had to cancel a reading session with Iruma, they unexpectedly met at a deviculum where they experienced their first dance together and talked about what they meant to each other.

Deviculum Arc

Two new Thirteen Crowns were to be revealed at a deviculum that took the form of a mascarade. At this important ceremony, many important figures of the Netherworld were invited, including the current Thirteen Crowns, the demon king potential candidates, and even the deity Princess Shura. They all mingled in the ballroom, waiting for the announcement and, unknowingly to most of them, before the next plot of the Demon Reformation movement unraveled.
