Plot[]
At the end of the school day, March, Momonoki, and Blushenko find themselves amazed at the line-up of tutors that were brought in to help the Misfit Class. Professor Dali is also amazed at the abilities of the tutors but also wonders if they are asking too much of the Misfit Class. He continues his speculation by wondering if Kalego set the class up with these tutors on purpose as a way to reclaim the Royal One. While Kalego does not admit to taking things personally when the Misfit Class had won the Royal One, he does confess to the enjoyment he feels at seeing them all suffer through their training and admits that he selected these specific tutors as he felt they were the ones best suited to teach the class what they need to know in the manner's most fit.
Meanwhile, the students of the Misfit Class continue to suffer exhausting training under their tutors with no clear sign of when the harsh training will end. After suffering another defeat by Balam, Asmodeus and Sabnock come to realize that individual attacks are not working and that they stand a better chance by working together.
Bachiko and Iruma stand together outside the doors of the Magical Battler's club room. Bachiko brags how the club is known for making powerful weapons and that Iruma will need their help in creating his bow. Iruma then reveals to Bachiko that he is currently an active member of the club, shocking and embarrassing Bachiko in the process. As her fit ends, Bachiko is surprised to hear that Iruma is part of the club given that it usually has an odd group of members. Iruma explains that the club had been used as storage for other clubs, but Iruma and the others have done their best to try to get the club back to its former glory. Entering the club room, Iruma and Bachiko are quickly left speechless upon seeing the clutter overtaking the area.
Schenell presents himself and welcomes Iruma back to the club. Despite Schenell's over-the-top personality, Bachiko is still impressed by some of the items in the club. She tries to get Iruma to look around but finds him shocked at how the room was 'Remonsterized'. She tells him that this is not a bad thing and could actually help them find the core for his bow. She demonstrates what she means when she uses a small piece of wood and the spell 'Quartz-Quartz' to create a spectacular bow. She explains that she is able to make bows thanks to her blood line ability and that a bow can be created and based on whatever material is used to make it.
Amazed by what he just saw, Schenell instantly tries to make his own bow from one of his figurines. The spell works and Schenell now has a bow shaped like Ameri that he begins to fond over and ignores Bachiko saying that it will not function as a weapon. Turning her attention back to Iruma, Bachiko goes over how the Quartz-Quartz spell reveals the true personality of the one who uses it and that Iruma will need to be compatible with his core.
Iruma begins to look over the items before him and notices a box of feathers that Schenell reveals are from the Guardian of Cutthroat Valley. Bachiko urges Iruma to try to create a bow with the feathers but isn't too pleased with his first attempt as she right away destroys it with the claim that Iruma was just copying what she had done. She adds to this by pointing out how the bow didn't fit him at all and that he needs to picture the bow he wants.
Deciding to try again, Iruma creates a bow that has a shield on it as he wanted to make a bow that could protect everyone. Bachiko finds this bow unfitting as well and has Iruma try again. After several more attempts, Bachiko decides to give Iruma one last chance to make a bow. Iruma asks why he is getting only one more chance since there are still plenty of feathers left. Bachiko answers that second chances do not exist on the battlefield and the upcoming Harvest festival will be a chance to test both his archery skills and ability to make quick decisions.
Bachiko then excuses herself to do some shopping and instructs Iruma to focus on creating his bow. Shenell follows Bachiko and asks why she doesn't stay to make sure Iruma creates as suitable bow. Bachiko mutters how if Iruma will fail, it's better he does it sooner rather than later. At that, she begins to recall other student's she had attempted to train to become master archers. At first, she was an encouraging and supportive mentor but began to change her ways after one particular student gave up entirely. She would gradually become the way she is now after more students gave up on becoming archers after just a few lessons. Although she admits to herself that Iruma is different from the others and survived being her errand boy, Bachiko refuses to get her hopes up ever again that one of her students will become a master archer.
Goemon and Agares are completely submerged in water as Lady Vepar debates letting them free as she is certain they are suffering. She then reveals how her family felt that she would not make a fitting tutor as she does not understand the concept of limits. Just as she decides to resign as their tutor, Lady Vepar watches as Goemon and Agares use their abilities to break free from their watery imprisonment. They reveal how they were able to escape when Goemon explains he realized water and air flow in a similar manner and Agares recognized the water as being the ground. Still, Agares scolds Vepar for not giving clear instructions but his words fall on deaf ears as she heavily congratulates the two on their success.
Mr. Hat instructs that contact is needed in order to build a relationship with beasts. He adds that a summoner of beasts cannot be repulsed by them as this will be a critically limiting factor. However, he is deeply pleased to see that Kerori has mastered being a summoner and has gotten the beasts in her cage to obey her every word; describing her elegance and manner as that of a queen. Mr. Hat also sees that Kamui is true to his gentleman ways as he was able to form a bond with the beasts as well, although Kamui points out that he was able to bond with the females better than the males.
In his own training against Robin, Lied continues to suffer loss after loss in video games. Even though Robin offers Lied a break to refocus himself and check on Iruma, Lied insists that they continue. Thinking to himself, Robin feels certain that Lied's concentration must be wavering and believes that he can hold back a bit. Before he is able to do so, Lied finally is able to beat him. Lied's confident comment leads Robin to suspect that Lied lost on purpose in order to get Robin to hold back so he could win. Realizing that Lied is trying to win, Robin excitedly sees that his concentration has actually gone up.
Meanwhile, Asmodeus and Sabnock charge toward Balam and each land a hit on him. Having finally landed a hit on him, Balam confirms the two have passed their training. As the two first-years celebrate their achievement, Balam takes into consideration how they had been attacking recklessly at first but showed immediate improvement once they began working together as they were able to land a coordinated hit rather than a single blow from either of them.
Elsewhere, Raim praises how Elizabetta has become a master seductress. She then laments how Clara's innocent and child-like nature is the only challenge left. She is soon proven wrong when Clara manages to hug her from behind and use her innocent nature as a rare form of seduction.
In town, Bachiko is getting annoyed at Shenell's otaku nature. As they leave, Bachiko wonders what may have become of Iruma. She feels certain that if he managed to create a bow that it wouldn't be of any use and that he may have given up by now. Back at the Battler club, Iruma continues to struggle with the type of bow he should create. As he overthinks, Alikred appears and states that he's putting too much thought into the situation. He then states that Iruma has the option of not needing to use a bow as he could always change tutors. Iruma turns down the idea as he admits that it would just frustrate him more since he hopes to prove at least one person wrong and that getting a compliment from Bachiko would mean a great deal for him.
Hoping to see Iruma overcome Bachiko's tyrannical behavior, Alikred surprises Iruma by asking him what his most embarrassing desire is. Iruma is left speechless as Alikred explains that not all desires are as simple as wanting to be strong or protecting others. Instead, some desires reflect the true feelings hidden away. Iruma reminds Alikred that he's human and not able to do things like the others. Still, he wishes to be able to stay with them for as long as possible and make it to Daleth ranking. Upon Iruma's confession, his ring begins to glow and he casts the spell to change the feather.
Outside the clubroom, Bachiko and Shenell are returning from their trip when Bachiko requests Shenell dispose of the herbs he purchased as they are giving her a headache. Shenell rushes ahead to the clubroom when Bachiko hears his surprised yell. Bachiko rushes forward and is startled to see that Iruma has crafted his bow.
The narration reveals that if any of the tutors had determined that any member of the Misfit Class did not have the potential to make it to Daleth rank, they would have quit on the spot without giving it a second thought. But because the members of the Misfit Class possessed talent and the element of surprise, they all far surpassed expectations and would continue to undergo several more weeks of training.
The day before the Harvest Festival has arrived and Professor Dali questions Kalego on how the Misfit Class is doing. Even without a direct answer, Dali can see that Kalego is very excited to see the outcome of the festival.
