Marbas March is a teacher at Babyls Demon School. Among the younger teachers, Professor Marbas teaches Torture Arts.
Appearance[]
Marbas is a plain-looking demon with chin-length straight black hair and two black horns. He is typically seen wearing the Babyls standard teacher's uniform.
Personality[]
Marbas appears easygoing and kind, not offering much input to others' words and agreeing that he looks plain. The author described him as a caring devil, but such feelings are important regarding the study of torture. Marbas has a darker side, as shown when Atori gets caught by Sullivan and the teachers. Marbas seems enthusiastic about the possibility of him being able to torture Atori, despite being a kind demon.

- Art of Torture: Being the teacher in torture arts, Marbas knows various ways to torture any demon, from "Waterboarding," "Electric Shocks," and "Intense-Pressure." The extent of his knowledge goes as far as to paralyze his opponent through a slow and painful process.

- Torture Tools: Marbas has many torturing tools, from large pincers to electric shocks.
- Stinger Centipede: A giant centipede with a large stinger that can penetrate a demon's spine and wing root destroys all five senses and paralyzes that demon. The effects are treatable, but the experience is traumatic.

Mar is his older sister, and they appear to get along. He knows of her career as an akudol manager.[1]
Marbas F. Yabashi[]
Yabashi is Marbas's relative (likely a cousin, as he is referred to as "a relative's child" by Marbas) and is a first-year at Babyls. They have yet to interact, but Marbas seems fond of him, asking Iruma to look after him if they ever meet.[2] Yabashi may have a less positive view of Marbas, as Marbas remarks, "Well, there's my relative... but I guess he wouldn't want to run into me."[3] when asked who he'd like to encounter during the Heartbreaker exam. This could also be due to Marbas specializing in torture and the exam pitting the teachers against the students.
