The Misfit Class's New Term (不適合クラスの新学期 Futekigou kurasu no shin gakki) is the forty-fifth and first episode of the third season of the anime series Mairimashita! Iruma-kun.
Summary[]
Iruma, Clara and Alice make their way to Babylus, on the first day of the new term. Iruma and Clara appear to be carrying huge sacks on their back, containing supplies for the upcoming term. Upon entering the castle and greeting the student council at the door, the gang is immediately swarmed by excited demon students. Iruma, bemoaning his lack of success at 'laying low', is mobbed by admiring fans, after the events of the previous season finale at Walter Park is recounted. The supplies are torn away by the students, and the three fight their way through the crowd, as various named side characters such as Eiko, Gaako and Donsako interact with or make admiring comments, and Ameri sulks from a distance.
Approaching the Royal One classroom, a number of misfit class members are stationed out front, basking in their newfound fame and glory. They had apparently been handing out autographs and taking photos all morning. What appears to be the entire class heads into the classroom, doors closing to a round of applause. Shax Lied brags about their fame and complains about the homework load, before being caught by the class teacher, Naberius Kalego, and being tied upside down in the classroom.
As class begins, Kalego announces a series of events to take place in the upcoming term. Mainly, the Harvest Festival, Music Festival and the Rank Advancement Exam. Asmodeus comments that there appears to be plenty of opportunities to rank one's rank this term.
Kalego interrupts, announcing that the Misfit class would have some special circumstances, since they are a special class, especially since they are using the Royal One classroom. Placing a pair of noise-cancelling ear protectors on his head, he holds up a small scroll. It quickly enlarges itself to a giant scroll, grows eyes and proceeds to yell at an incredible volume. The scroll announces that, as a Special Class Order, the entire Misfit Class must reach Rank Daleth (4) before end of year. It is mentioned that Daleth (4) is the borderline rank that students typically reach right before graduating. Therefore, for a first-year to reach Daleth (4) would be very abnormal indeed, let alone an entire class. If they fail to meet this condition, the entire class will be ejected from the Royal One classroom. At this, the entire class begins to scream and cry, remembering in anguish how terrible their old classroom was.
Kalego announces that, to in order to help them reach Daleth (4), the school has brought in special tutors. A number of new teachers walk through the door. The first to be introduced is a tall, buff demon named Sergent Furfur, who will be tutoring Jazz and Alocer. Next is a crying woman with blue gills and a yellow beak, named Lady Vepar. She will be tutoring Goeman and Agarath. Raim-sensei, also seen in previous episodes as the instructor in the Seduction class, is to tutor X and Clara. Mr. Hat, a demon gentleman with a tall yellow hat, is assigned Crocell and Camui. Asmodeus and Sabnock are assigned Balam-sensei, leaving just Iruma and Lied. After a panicked moment where the pair thought they would be tutored by Kalego, it is revealed that the two of them will instead be tutored by Robin-sensei, known to be bumbling and fairly air-headed. The two are not happy with the assignment. Meanwhile, a mysterious figure in a dress arrives in front of the school.
Skipping to the school bell screaming, members of the Misfit class are in class, unable to focus. The class ends, and the tutors appear, physically grabbing and dragging their students off to their lessons. Iruma, Asmodeus, and Clara share an emotional goodbye in the courtyard, all swearing to get stronger.
The scene changes to Jazz and Alocer hanging by ropes below a floating Sergent Furfur. The two are panicked that the lesson will take place off of school grounds. When asked where they were going, the tutor simple responds 'a place for adults'.
In a rocky, underground cave, Goeman and Agarath console a weeping Lady Vepar. She cries that young demons are scaring, and tries to motivate herself. The two ask her if she can really teach like that, and she yells and responds that there are things only crybabies can do. The cave then floods quickly and dramatically before the scene changes once again.
Crocell discovers her tutor in her studio having afternoon tea and panics since she since has a secret identity as a Devidol. She demands he leave but he refuses, stating that her manager has already agreed to the lessons. Wielding a whip, he demands she take a seat while he outlines the lesson plans.
X and Clara sit, shocked and embarrassed in a classroom full of perfume. Their tutor explains that, as their teacher, she will turn them into two exquisite, but ruthless lady demons. She describes the training as 'cool and extremely difficult', and asks the two if they're willing to take it on. The two respond enthusiastically, and the scene changes.
Sabnock and Asmodeus lay face down on rocky ground, beaten and defeated. Balaam asks they stand up once again, as at their level of strength, they should still be able to stand, especially seeing as it's the first day and they have yet to meet their quotas. As the two glare at him in frustration, Balaam reveals that each tutor has a special plan to help each individual student awaken their powers.
The scene then cycles through each tutor and their claims.
- Sergant Furur claims that his students will become the craftiest first years who will never lose.
- Lady Vepar claims that her students will have the most advanced bloodline techniques among all first years.
- Balaam will make his students the most powerful first-year fighters
- Mr. Hat will turn his students into the most skilled first-year summoners
- Raim will make her students the most charming and sexy first years around
Following onwards, Robin Balse reveals that his advancement plan is all about fighting spirit. He has Iruma and Lied yell out loud, as the two look rather concerned and doubtful of their tutor. Iruma breaks away as Robin runs ahead, and pulls out his phone, sending a text message. The scene changes to Ameri, ruminating on her previous date with Iruma, and how difficult it is to approach him now he's popular. Her face lights up as she receives a message from Iruma. He apologizes for not being able to meet for their reading sessions due to his training for the Harvest Festival. Ameri is understanding, though sad, and considers the parallels the situation has with a scene from First Love Memory, where the male lead leaves for space. She wishes Iruma the best.
Iruma and Lied are led by Robin into the Royal One classroom, explaining that he called on a relative to help train them. While explaining how reliable and strong she is, Robin gets punched in the face and sent flying. Bachiko appears, crouching like a delinquent on a table. She scolds them for making them wait, and reveals that she only showed up because Sullivan requested she help. She considers leaving but Iruma and Lied beg her for mentoring help and Robin is unreliable. To 'prove' themselves worthy of being mentored, Bachiko makes the two perform meaningless tasks, such as carrying her around, buying snacks, repainting walls and even cross-dressing and acting as maids. The episode ends with the three of them throwing a tea party will cross-dressing, the two boys obviously unhappy.
