The One Who Rules Over the Netherworld (魔界を統べる者, Makai o Suberu Mono) is the forty-fourth episode and the 21st and final episode of the second season of the anime series Mairimashita! Iruma-kun.
Synopsis[]
The end of terminus enters its final days; Iruma safely finishes his homework and is invited by Sullivan to go to Magical Street along with Opera; they browse around picking up things Iruma will need for his new school term.
Summary[]
Iruma finishes the homework given to him by Kalego with Opera by his side. Lord Sullivan then abruptly enters the room and takes Iruma on a shopping trip to prepare him for his newest term. To help Iruma from being detected by the other shoppers because of his fame, Lord Sullivan gives him anti-detection glasses. When they arrive at their destination called Magical Street and a crowd surrounds Lord Sullivan while also not recognizing Iruma in the slightest. They all then go clothes, accessories, and books. During their shopping for books, Lord Sullivan catches a shoplifter, and Iruma overhears a couple of customers mention him as a potential candidate to become the next Demon Lord. The shopping trip continues and outside, Lord Sullivan informs Iruma of what to expect next term. Iruma then asks how he can become the Demon Lord.
Lord Sullivan then has a flashback of back in his youth and his interaction with the Demon King Derkila. Back in the present, Lord Sullivan hugs Iruma believing he wants to become the Demon King. However, Iruma corrects him and asks him what it takes to become a Demon King. Lord Sullivan then explains to Iruma how the The Thirteen Crowns decide the next Demon King and how being the Demon King means taking care of everything within the Netherworld. He also mentions that he's afraid that he wouldn't be able to live up to the previous Demon King's title, but notes he'd create an Iruma themed world. Furthermore, Lord Sullivan states he'd love to see what kind of world Iruma would create as the Demon King, going as far as to support whatever he strives to achieve. Just then, Opera arrives with the carriage and Iruma contemplates the thought of becoming the Demon King.
Back at home, Iruma reads the Demon King Prophecy Scroll gotten at the book store in his bed. As Iruma contemplates over what he read, he falls asleep and the following day is chastised by Alikred. Later, Iruma goes to school with Azz and Clara. In class, Kalego allows a magic scroll to give an announcement that the students of the Royal One class must raise their ranks to Dalet before they become 2nd years. If they fail to do this they'll all be ejected from the Royal One Class. The news astounds the Misfit Class.

Ending Credits & Post-Credits Scene[]
No sukima. Like for the last episode of season 1, the ending credits is replaced by a montage recapitulating the last season with Babyl’s hymn sung by the students in the background, followed by a preview of a scene from season 3 where the Misfits Class are warned that they have to all reach Daleth rank before the end of the year or otherwise be expelled from the Royal One.
